Cubist Cloud is a software platform that helps art gallery owners and artists to manage everything more quickly, efficiently and securely – from selling art to storing data to simplifying daily tasks.

Launched in 2021, Cubist Cloud allows you to focus on what you do best: creating or selling art. We’re good at the software, the nerdy stuff – we leave the arty stuff to you.

The platform is an enabler that can be customised to your needs and business. It can automate and streamline your day-to-day tasks, give you greater control over your gallery inventory, and allow you to do things you would not otherwise be able to do while growing your business.

Behind Cubist Cloud is a team of talented techies and creatives who are dedicated to making technology simple, easy to use and ‘slottable’ – able to slot in seamlessly with your existing systems and applications. Cubist Cloud may be relatively new, but our team is not new to the art world. We’ve long served the industry through our sister company, Sirrus Computers, and have worked with numerous art galleries over the last decade.

It is this experience of helping art gallery owners and artists to overcome their technology challenges that led us to create Cubist Cloud. We know and understand your daily frustrations, and we’ve designed and built a platform to solve them.

Phil Anderson

As the co-founder and program director of Cubist Cloud, alongside my co-founder Julian (Jules), I lead the business and product strategy, supporting our colleagues on the development and client account team. I’ve been passionate about technology and making it more accessible since college, where I studied ICT.

Apart from a brief career as a firefighter shortened by an injury, I’ve worked in technology, web development and digital marketing for over twenty years. In 2017, I joined Jules to co-found Sirrus Computers. Our focus on providing tech support to London’s art galleries was the inspiration behind creating Cubist Cloud.

Julian (Jules) Abbs

I’m co-founder and director of Cubist Cloud with Phil, responsible for leading the business, product strategy, project management and client delivery. In addition to supporting the platform, I help our gallery clients to develop the tech infrastructure they need to compete in the international art scene.

My tech career started in electronics engineering with GEC Marconi that, via a business economics degree, led me to found IT firm Incantations in 2006. Partnering with Phil in 2017 to found Sirrus Computers meant we could offer a highly competitive complete technology solution, including IT and telecoms support alongside digital marketing and development.<...

Francesca Porter

As Cubist Cloud’s software analyst, developer and the key interface between our clients and development team since 2021, my role is broad. I develop, use and test software, identifying bugs and recommending user experience and interface improvements. And I work with our client users, taking feedback so we can constantly improve, as well as delivering training and product demos to new clients, which includes creating our extensive training video suite.

Before joining Cubist Cloud, and sister company Sirrus Computers, I was a designer in the exhibitions industry. This, alongside my degree in product design from the University of Leeds, helps me understand how to create better tech solutions that non-techies find easy t…
